17th November 2003 Windsurfing: Dahab Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: lots Surf / Sea State: wind chop Air Temperature: 30 Sea Temperature: Weather: SUNNY ! not cloud in sky Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived at windsurf centre at 8am for safety breifing on where and where not to sail My prebooked board for the week and a naish titan 252 (110lts) Waited til 11.30 for the wind to kick in proper and went out with 5.7 neil pride espression sail Spent a few hours getting used to my hire board maybe about the same size as my 263 techno but was a lot diffrent in handling when pushing the front away I kept sinking the front of the board and it would just head for the sea bed ! not good ! I was still having a few problems but was getting better and it was great sailing in shorts and rash vest! The wind picked up a bit more later in the afternoon and the free style sail didn't like it one bit couldn't lock it down. Decided to call it a day about 3pm had to save some for tomorow |
